child play
I strongly believe that because of education we grow out of our child instincts. Like mentioned before in glass "we are like robots, being shipped into the work force" what Tim Brown mentions in this video is how children are capable of being more creative than adults. We tend to be scared of being wrong and scared to show our own creative selves. What i love about this video is how our own environment should be playful and let us express our childish creative senses. BRILLIANT
20 sketches
On Monday I was not able to make it to class. But, here are some photos of my 20 sketches if any one likes to see them. At first I was not sure if we had to make 20 different games or 20 different sketches for the same game. As a result I decided to really make 20 sketches for one specific game. At first I didn’t have any ideas but then I did a list of games I had prior knowledge. Some games included, monopoly, horse and the tail, bingo ec.. Then, I picked an audience which was CHILDREN. Of course, I know someone that works in LAUSD and I asked what where some of the games they liked to play. He told me “well kids are always hyper and running around and they never sit in one place”. With this information I then I decided to make all the players interact in the game every time it was someone’s turn, as you may be able to read in the photo.
Lastly, in my sketch I also named my game “Loop the Points”; there’s a lot to do in designing a game and it was not a simple task making it but good experience.
