Here in the United States we might find some topics amusing while in other countries it could be insulting.I believe that the audience is the key element in being able to design meaning. For example, in class the photo with the dry branches and the (quote) “grandma’s soft touch” really made some of us giggle, why? Because of the perception we have with grandmothers. Designing meaning can be seen in advertisement; yet again I never thought of creating my own meaning of things and was not that aware of the impact it had in advertisement. The exercise in class, made me see that what we overlook can be important for the total end project. Brilliant exercise
